Youth Mentor Program

Have you been to an opera and wished you knew more about opera to enhance your experience? Opera is a story told through the unique union of singing, action, and instrumental music which, together, evoke varying emotions.

Through the Midland College Continuing Education Department, PBO offers a continuing education course about specific operas, and opera in general. We meet on Monday evenings in Room 202 of the F. Marie Hall Academic Building on the Midland College campus from 7:00-9:00pm.  Classes are fun and enlightening and consist of lecture, discussion, and experiencing opera utilizing technology. The overall length of the course varies by semester. A typical course lasts 9 to 11 weeks.
