Our Story
Permian Basin Opera was built on a simple but powerful belief: that everyone deserves access to the arts. In a region where opportunities to experience live opera can be limited, Permian Basin Opera set out to bring music directly to the community by way of schools, parks, and local venues.
What began as a vision has become a growing movement of performances, educational outreach, and community engagement through programs such as Opera in the Schools, Opera in the Park, Mini Opera Productions, PBO Gala, and the Concert Series. Each initiative is designed to inspire, educate, and bring people together through the shared experience of music.
Today, PBO continues to transform lives through the arts, but none of it is possible without the support of our community. Together, we are keeping opera alive and thriving in the Permian Basin.
